Great first year! We raised lot of money for The Lords Taverners media 7's various children's charity. We enjoyed re-launching the event though stressful on the run up to the event, the day was excellent with great feedback from the teams and spectators. Big thank you to Verve who sponsored the event and made it possible. Special mention to senior members of the U.S team Tom Kenny and Ray Green who rolled back the years and played! Plus of course Fi Taylor who gave up her marketing time for free and Rhys Denny who organised the team. 

 My team, Moriati Nomads got knocked out in the quarter final by Sky, as they are a client it felt like the right thing to do : ) 

I took two of my children who enjoyed being coached by 3 England internationals Phil Burgess, Dan Norton and James Rodwell. My kids spent 5 hours running around fuelled by sweets and chips (don't tell the wife!). 

 The main competition was won by John Ayling using their experience of playing together and quality and to good effect. Wayne Barnes came up to support the event and ref the final before flying off that evening back to work, what a legend! 
 ED and F Man won the plate thanks to a few loan players from the Media Nomads and a great philosophy of running rugby! Lastly a special mention to John and Caroline Ayling who put their reputations on the line to re-launch the media 7's resulting in extra revenue to a worthwhile and progressive charity.
