We’re partnering with a major UK media owner currently investing heavily in its digital audio and podcast proposition. As part of this growth, they’re hiring a senior commercial lead to take ownership of podcast revenue strategy across a premium content portfolio.
This is a high-impact role with real visibility, sitting at the centre of sales, content, and product — with the mandate to scale a fast-growing revenue line.
The opportunity
You’ll lead the commercial direction for podcasts and digital audio, shaping how the business monetises its content across agency and client partners.
This is not a pure sales role. It’s about building a category — defining the proposition, unlocking new commercial opportunities, and ensuring podcasts are positioned as a core revenue driver.
What you’ll be doing
- Setting and delivering the commercial strategy for podcasts and digital audio
- Owning revenue growth, pipeline development, and long-term monetisation plans
- Building and evolving the go-to-market approach across sponsorship, branded content, and audio solutions
- Partnering closely with senior stakeholders across sales, product, editorial, and marketing
- Acting as the senior face of the offering with agencies and key clients
- Driving thought leadership and positioning the business as a leader in premium audio
- Developing high-value multi-platform partnerships
- Using audience insight and market trends to continuously refine the proposition
- Supporting and influencing wider sales teams to better monetise podcast inventory
