Our client, a prestigious Big Four firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director – Deal Execution – Integration & Separation to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, providing deal execution to deliver high quality client integration & separation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation, refinement, and delivery of draft and final outputs within required timeframes, ensuring readiness for senior leadership review.
- Lead client communications and progress updates related to deliverables and outputs within Deal Execution projects.
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of business operations across functional areas, recognising interdependencies between organisations and transaction workstreams.
- Manage projects across an entire engagement programme, or multiple workstreams within a programme, ensuring alignment to objectives.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership (e.g. Director/Partner level) to shape engagement strategy, budgets, and delivery plans.
- Provide direction and guidance to wider teams on engagements, ensuring alignment with the agreed scope and objectives.
Leadership & Management:
- Take on a senior leadership role within engagements, acting as a role model and setting the tone for team behaviours and culture.
- Encourage curiosity, innovation, and collaboration within teams while maintaining focus on delivering commercially driven, value-adding outcomes.
- Contribute to business development by supporting the creation of pitches, proposals, and external initiatives to secure new opportunities, as well as identifying additional opportunities within existing projects.
Stakeholder Engagement & Challenge:
- Bring credibility and expertise to advise and deliver on complex Deal Execution assignments, often involving multiple teams and disciplines.
- Act as Engagement Manager where required, serving as the main point of contact for the client across the engagement lifecycle.
- Challenge client assumptions where necessary to ensure appropriate resourcing and timelines for successful delivery.
- Proactively understand client needs and expectations, identifying opportunities to add value.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks to reputation and ensure smooth delivery.
- Take ownership of high-quality client deliverables and provide on-the-ground leadership to engagement teams.
- Implement Deal Execution and Data & Analytics technology where appropriate to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance client delivery.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
- Apply a strong commercial mindset to pricing, engagement profitability, and project outcomes, while safeguarding professional standards and reputation.
- Proactively manage engagement finances, including invoicing, WIP, and provisioning, ensuring profitability beyond just revenue targets.
- Take responsibility for client and engagement acceptance activities, managing risk appropriately and escalating issues when needed.
- Coach and guide team members on risk management processes, delegating effectively while retaining accountability.
