About you
  • Familiarity and understanding of current digital advertising offerings and products. 

  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high-paced environment.

  • Good communication skills and an ability to deal and listen to people at all levels.

  • Support Sales teams with an understanding of technical bits so they can sell better.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft package including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as Google packages.

  • Understanding of HTML 5, JavaScript, Photoshop, 3rd Party Creative Tools, HTTP and XML

  • The Technical Operations Lead will be reporting to the Director of Advertising Operations and will be main point of contact for the day-to-day ad technology projects and specific tasks in order to complete them effectively and in a timely manner while still maintaining high quality. 

  • Key responsibilities and accountabilities 
     
    • Management of ad tag infrastructure across all products and sites

    • Management of internal and external tools

    • Support business projects including site redesigns, new tech and tools

    • Providing support during ad tech/industry related launches or updates 

    • Capacity to carry out market research and keeps the business informed on industry trends and best practices

    • Liaison with Dev, Product, Editorial, Data and all teams to ensure best practices are adhered to and ability to provide troubleshooting support

    • Identify site related issues and solutions to resolve ad tagging conflicts or code issues.

    • Train and lead a team, sharing knowledge of systems and integration process

    • Maintain key documentation and best practice for the ad ops team to follow

    • Identify issues proactively rather than reactively where possible

      1. Information: Understanding the media space and publisher environment. Being aware of the industry, technology changes and its effects


      • At least 3+ years’ relevant experience with transferable skills, knowledge on DFP/GAM is desirable

      • Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise work load and deliver accurate information on time to a high standard – and be comfortable under pressure and amenable to out of hours issue resolution

      • Ability to prioritise and delegate workload to meet deadlines and SLAs

      • Must be able to multi-task, remain calm under pressure and have meticulous attention to detail

      • Highly organised

      • An analytical and systematic approach to problem solving

      • Familiar with online advertising, sales, and marketing concepts & metrics

      • Ability to use developer tools efficiently across all platforms/devices/browsers i.e. ability to use VPN + Proxy tools i.e. Charles, Firebug, Citrix, HMA, Geoedge etc

      • Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and at least one major Javascript framework i.e. JQuery, node JS

      • Rich Media knowledge

      • Ability to "think outside of the box"

      • Ability to learn new skills quickly
