- The London based digital team supports the international sales teams across all offices to deliver digital revenue growth and enable the effective monetization of our client's digital products and services. Amongst the responsibilities of this team, as well as operational support and the delivery of all digital campaigns, is to enable the sales organization with best in class proposals, market leading ad products and innovative solutions across desktop, mobile, social channels, both on and off platform.Digital revenues have grown exponentially year on year for this company, both as a mix of direct and programmatic revenue growth. Digital forms a central component of their cross platform content solutions and the team work closely with their in house content marketing agency, to develop audience led solutions for their partners.Job summaryThis is an important new role within the digital team in London and carries the responsibility to increase global programmatic revenue and develop a programmatic strategy to realise ambitious growth targets. This key appointment will suit an entrepreneurial character to develop their own business unit, take a leadership position across digital sales activity, develop a global programmatic product and trading strategy, drive new business directly but also provide support and partnership for the international sales teams who are also looking to increase programmatic revenues directly from their existing customer base and agency brand teams.Main Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the global programmatic sales strategy for our client's group brands, in partnership with the Head of Digital, to ensure appropriate product portfolio, pricing, tech partners, sales pitch, trading policy and processes.
- Create a clear go to market strategy for their programmatic products by market after a comprehensive review of their current offerings.
- Liaise with marketing to review and revamp all sales material related to programmatic selling that this role and all sales teams will use. Develop a marketing strategy, PR plan and event strategy to build client's position and reputation within the programmatic trade community.
- Develop new and build on existing relationships with programmatic buyers initially in Europe, then globally through regular meetings, calls and recommendations.
- Grow awareness and generate demand around the ad inventory offer and create a reputation of innovation in the marketplace.
- Identify and execute new trading opportunities, including PMP’s and guaranteed deals across our entire portfolio of inventory including desktop, mobile web, app, YouTube Inventory.
- Directly manage the Programmatic & Ad Tech lead and collaborate together on all aspects of programmatic revenue.
- Working with the Programmatic Ad Tech Lead to also build custom ad packages for premium programmatic partners and support revenue growth in new markets.
- Promote the company at Programmatic events to act as a brand ambassador by attending and speaking where appropriate.
Skills- Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital programmatic sales is a must, preferably from a media owner with an extensive list of trading desk/agency/client direct contacts.
- A further 4 years digital selling experience gained in a publisher or buy side business.
- Have a deep understanding of the global programmatic marketplace and where the company can add value to buyers.
- Significant experience in sell-side business development and media sales
- Strong relationships across the digital & programmatic community
- Deep understanding and knowledge of the programmatic landscape and selling revenue-generating opportunities
- Experience with ad technologies, such as DSPs, DMPs, measurement vendors (e.g. fraud, viewability, etc.) and data providers
- Consultative selling skills with the ability to anticipate and overcome concerns by positioning value propositions in relation to client needs.
- Active with key industry events, trends, and emerging ad technologies
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to address business and technical audiences
- Exceptional presentation skills
