The role will focus on several key deliverables
 
The Role
We're looking for a talented Media Insight Analyst to join a growing Analytics & Insight (A&I) team in London and help unify their data landscape into a single source of truth powering Business Intelligence tools, deep-dive analyses, machine learning predictive models and wider media planning and buying tools. The role will be responsible for managing the performance reporting and dashboard outputs for US clients, but will report directly to the Data Strategy Director here in the UK
 
  • Liaise with Media/client teams in New York to establish media campaign reporting and insight requirements and regularity, including involvement from briefing stage to inform campaign setup and relevant metrics

  • Validate and verify data to ensure correct information is available

  • Create & manage client friendly dashboards and other documents to provide insight on campaign progress

  • Build and deliver campaign performance reports with actionable insight and learnings
  •  
  • Maintain client and agency benchmark studies 

  • Liaise with external suppliers including data, tech and media companies to ensure top quality service and excellent relationships

  • Power deep-dive analyses to answer questions that unlock the next growth lever for client’s businesses

  • Enable fast, easy, self-serve BI in every team, helping everyone to spend time on what really matters.  
 
As a Media Insight Analyst, you will scope, plan, build and deliver a range of analytics projects. This could involve supporting the media planning teams with research, customised reports and implementation of bespoke data management processes, supporting senior analysts to build advanced forecasting modelsmanaging a data pipeline to power a visualisation dashboard, or something else entirely different – no two days will be the same. 
 
 
The Deal Breakers 
  • A deep interest and enthusiasm in data and using data to support continuous business improvement
  •  
  • Exceptional Excel skills (including macrosPivot tables and advanced charting techniques) 
  •  
  • Solid experience of media performance evaluation and reporting – preferably within an agency environment 

  • Some experience of working with 3rd party ticket sales systems (e.g. ENTA, Spektrix, Ticketmaster)
  •  
  • Confident in writing SQL and good understanding of database design.

  • Previous use of media data integration tools would be advantageous.
  •  
  • Solid exposure to building marketing performance dashboards using Tableau or similar would be a huge benefit

  • Work effectively and collaboratively, communicating clearly through code, version control and review

  • Experience working with international clients (and account teams) including managing multi-national conference calls across multiple time zones

  • Analytical, problem-solving and an effective communicator; leveraging technology and subject matter expertise in the business to accelerate company roadmap.

  • Able to document business insight clearly, in plain English, making knowledge easily transferable to the wider team.

  • Confident in presenting analysis, recommendations and strategy to senior stakeholders

  • Willing to step outside your comfort zone to broaden your skills and learn new technologies.
  •  
Nice to have 
  • Working knowledge of Azure is preferred, but Google Cloud (BigQueryDataProcDataFlow Composer) or AWS stacis a big plus but not essential.

  • Development of simple front ends in VBA, HTML etc

  • Good understanding of AGILE and related software tracking platforms would be advantageous
